Choirs are on holiday. During August, Evensong will be said in the Lady Chapel with no hymns.

The Alpha Course starts at St Michael’s on Thursday, 4th September and runs for ten weeks. Alpha is a great way to find out more about the Christian faith and is also used to prepare for Confirmation. If you would like to attend the Course, please complete an application available from the Information Area and return it to the Welcome Desk or Parish Office. If you are interested in being Confirmed, please contact Toby or the Parish Office as soon as possible.

Street Pastors initiative starts this September, sponsored by Churches Together and aimed at helping vulnerable people on our streets at night. If you would like to know more about the scheme or are considering volunteering to be a Street Pastor, there are some information sheets at the back of the church.

Back to Church Sunday - On September 28th we shall be observing “Back to Church Sunday.” Invitations will be going out to former members of our church. If you know of anybody who would like to receive an invitation, please let the Welcome Desk know their name (and address would be helpful too!).

Shine Festival, 14 – 28 September.  Details on the notice board and in the magazine, but please remember all those making preparations for this community event in your prayers.  Keep Saturday 20th September free for the clean up project.

Parish Retreat   - have you booked a holiday yet? Why not join us October 25th – 28th when we will be led by Sister Pia Buxton, an experienced teacher, leader and spiritual director. Cost is around £120 and lifts will be available.  There will be times of quiet, opportunities to walk and share. Please Contact Pauline Hinge or the Parish Office if you are interested.
