Missions Committee
The Missions Committee's main purpose is to be responsible for the allocation of the Church's charitable giving. It manages a budget of around £15,000 per year, derived partly from general church income and partly from fundraising schemes and events organised by the Committee itself, such as the Christmas Fair.
Our aim is to give a tenth of our income (a tithe) to support the work of various missionary and charitable organisations working in the UK and overseas.
We see this as a practical way of demonstrating the gospel imperative to love our neighbours as ourselves.
We have recently supported the following organisations.
