Prayer is the lifeblood of the church and there are many ways in which prayer is encouraged in St. Michael’s. The church is open every day for anyone to spend some time, especially in the Lady Chapel, in prayer and reflection.
Outside the Lady Chapel, there is a Prayer Board on which prayer requests may be placed. These requests are included at Parish Prayers (Saturdays at 9.30am). Prayers are also said at Morning Prayer (8.30am Monday to Thursday) and Evening Prayer (5.30pm Saturdays). All are welcome to all of these occasions.
Members of the church are also encouraged to lead the prayers at the Sunday morning services, and a small team of people run the session of prayers for healing and for personal matters which takes place after the Sunday 10.00am service.
