In term time Junior Church meets at 9.50am each Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month when we invite children to stay with their families in the more informal worship of the 10am Parish Praise service).
All children aged between 3 and 8 are welcome to come to the Windhill Churches Centre just before the 10am service where they join in a short, fun session of worship and teaching, with games and/or craft activities, before returning to Church just before Communion is taken.
At the end of the service the children come up to the front of the Church with their Junior Church leaders, to share in what they have done, to show the things they've made and to receive a prayer. This is an important part of the service for the rest of the congregation, who love to hear from the children, and they are always greeted with applause!
Older children who attend the 10am Parish Communion service are welcome to join the younger members of the Choir, who meet in the Lady Chapel at the front of the Church for a short session of age-appropriate teaching and discussion during the service. This starts at the beginning of the sermon and the children return back into church just after the Peace. If your child would be interested in joining in these sessions, please contact the Parish Office or speak to Bill Macdonald who leads this group.
